The spread of artemisinin resistance in Africa (SPARTAN)
Behandeling van malaria is alleen mogelijk met effectieve medicijnen. Recent hebben Afrikaanse malariaparasieten resistentie ontwikkeld tegen artemisinines, de belangrijkste malariamedicijnen. Het SPARTAN-project onderzoekt welke factoren een rol spelen bij resistentieverspreiding en ontwikkelt een simulatiemodel om de beste strategie te vinden om deze verspreiding te voorkomen.
