Graphic communication for AMR in centers for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
The risk of infections and antimicrobial resistance in residential facilities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is relatively high. Due to the specificity of these facilities, designing and implementing infection prevention measures is challenging.
Method
Researchers will develop, implement and evaluate visual graphic-based interventions. They do this through participatory methodology where they co-design graphic interventions with an interdisciplinary team. The intervention will be evaluated using qualitative and quantitative methods adapted specifically for the study settings.
Aim
This project aims to improve infection prevention compliance in residential facilities among both healthcare workers and their clients with mild disabilities.
