NWO has awarded Veni funding of up to EUR 280,000 to 188 promising researchers from the full breadth of science. This will allow the laureates to further develop their own research ideas over the next three years. - This project is a continuation of the CIAO project, focusing on appropriate measures to prevent and control outbreaks of COVID-19 and Influenza in nursing homes. The CIAO project started in November 2022 and was completed in August 2024. The current project focuses on the dissemination and implementation of the CIAO project findings.

- In deze studie wordt onderzocht of patiënten met een aangeboren afweerstoornis na vaccinatie beschermd zijn tegen COVID-19. Patiënten met deze aangeboren stoornissen in het afweersysteem hebben een verhoogd risico op het krijgen van infecties en op een ernstiger beloop van infecties.
